2. Who We Are

Andrew Cormican, Director of Groundwork Limited, is the Data Controller responsible for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts.

Your name and chosen avatar when you create an account
What you are building toward — your personal goal or intention
Your daily mood check-ins and pillar completions
Morning intentions and evening reflections
Posts and messages you share in the community
Conversations you have with Chris — our AI life coach
Your email address if you join our waitlist or contact us

3.2 Information collected automatically

Your streak and usage data — how often and when you use the platform
Device type and browser information
General location data — country level only, not precise location

3.3 What we do NOT collect

We do not collect payment card details — these are handled securely by Stripe
We do not collect government identification numbers
We do not collect precise GPS location

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To provide and improve the Groundwork platform and Chris AI coaching service
To personalise your experience — Chris uses your profile information to provide relevant coaching
To maintain your streak, progress and journey history
To send you service-related communications
To respond to your enquiries and support requests
To comply with our legal obligations

5. Chris — AI Life Coach Data

Your conversations with Chris are used to provide you with personalised coaching. We want to be transparent about how this works:

Conversations with Chris are processed via Anthropic's Claude AI
We store conversation summaries to allow Chris to remember your journey between sessions
We do not sell your conversation data to third parties
Conversation data is treated with the highest level of confidentiality

Important: Chris is an AI life coach, not a licensed therapist or medical professional. Please do not share information you would only share with a medical professional. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please contact the relevant emergency services or crisis helplines listed in the app.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with the following trusted service providers:

Anthropic — AI processing for Chris
Supabase — secure database storage
Stripe — payment processing
Render — hosting and infrastructure
Google Workspace — email communications

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
If you delete your account we will delete your personal data within 30 days
Some data may be retained longer where required by law

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a user in the EU or EEA you have the following rights:

Right of access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
